Hello!

Hello! I'm Gemma, an experienced kids English teacher from the UK. I specialise in helping young intermediate learners aged 10-16 improve their English in a fun and engaging way. I work with students aged 10-16 at levels B1-C2, focusing on key areas such as vocabulary building, reading comprehension, speaking practice and conversation skills. In each lesson, we will cover some new vocabulary, then read age-appropriate articles or stories on a variety of interesting topics like food, travel, history, technology, animals, and more. After reading, we engage in thoughtful discussions where students can express their opinions and practice speaking in a comfortable, supportive environment. I understand that each student learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to meet the individual needs of every child. Whether your child is working to improve their fluency, expand their vocabulary, or gain confidence in speaking, I’m here to help them succeed. My goal is to make learning English enjoyable and meaningful, while ensuring your child feels motivated and encouraged to improve. I believe that building a strong foundation in English opens up many doors for young learners, both academically and personally. If you’re looking for a teacher who is patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated to your child’s success, I would love to work with them! All kids lessons are for 30 minutes only. Please only book a MAXIMUM of 30 minutes per day for your child :) IMPORTANT: Please ensure that your child always uses earphones or headphones during class. This is to prevent 'echoing' in your room - making it difficult for me to hear your child.

My name is Gemma and I am from the south of England. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to live in different parts of the UK including Wales and Scotland. I’m passionate about learning, and I love discovering new things, whether it’s through reading, watching documentaries, or exploring different parts of the world. Travelling is one of my greatest joys, and I’ve been lucky enough to visit many countries and immerse myself in diverse cultures. This curiosity and love for learning about the world around me is something I bring into my teaching. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and learning from my students too! When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family and on my other interests. I’m fascinated by wildlife, technology, food, art, and culture - all of which provide endless topics for engaging conversations. I believe that exploring these subjects not only makes learning English more enjoyable, but also helps broaden our understanding of the world. I’m excited to share my passion for learning and culture with your child, and I look forward to helping them on their English language journey!
