Nat
Hello!
Hi, I'm Nat. I'm an English woman living my best life in Vietnam. I am warm, patient, sociable, and friendly, and I absolutely love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. In our conversations we can explore any topics you enjoy ... from childhood memories to future plans and dreams, and anything in between. For me, language is first and foremost about connection. When you can express yourself naturally and confidently, and share your thoughts, ideas, and emotions clearly, real communication begins and meaningful connections are created. This is where language steps out of the textbooks and really comes alive. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, and whether you want to improve your conversation skills, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, or confidence, we will focus on your personal goals ... and our classes will always be relaxed, supportive, and enjoyable. I have a CELTA qualification (Cambridge English Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), and I am also studying the Vietnamese language myself, so I understand both the challenges and the joy of learning a new language. I look forward to getting to know you and sharing in your language journey.
I’m originally from England, but I now live in Vietnam, a country I love for its warmth, generosity, and sense of community. Living here has deepened my appreciation for culture, language, and the many different ways people experience the world. Outside of teaching, I spend a lot of time in my local community. I help care for an elderly woman with dementia, volunteer at a disability centre, and enjoy spending time with local families and children. These experiences have taught me that communication is about far more than perfect grammar ... it is about understanding each other, sharing stories, and connecting as human beings. I also love learning languages myself and am currently studying Vietnamese, so I understand the courage it takes to speak in another language and the small victories that come with progress. Alongside teaching, I am also a qualified personal trainer and breathwork coach, and I guide meditation practices. These interests have given me a deep appreciation for how confidence, presence, and calmness can transform the way we communicate. In my classes, I create a relaxed and supportive space where students feel comfortable to speak freely and be themselves. I’m quite a playful character, so there is often a lot of laughter in my lessons ... but our conversations can also go deeper when they need to. Some students come simply to practice conversation, while others enjoy discussing life, culture, philosophy, and the world around us. Over time, many of my students become long-term friends, and it’s always a privilege to share part of their journey with them. For me, every conversation is an opportunity to learn something new.

Teaching Style
I'm easy going, lighthearted, and fun, and I truly believe that when learning is enjoyable it also becomes much easier. My lessons focus mainly on natural conversation, because speaking regularly is one of the most effective ways to build fluency and confidence. As we talk, I provide clear and supportive feedback so you can immediately see how your English can improve. During each session I type live notes in the chat while you speak. Corrections appear in CAPITAL LETTERS, and when there are no capitals I will often suggest a more natural or fluent way to express the same idea. This helps you recognise patterns in grammar, vocabulary, tone, and sentence structure as they happen in real conversation. Sometimes we briefly pause to look at a specific tense or structure, practise it clearly, and then return to the conversation so you can use it naturally straight away. Over time, students usually notice that their sentences become clearer, their confidence grows, and expressing their ideas in English begins to feel much more natural.
