Hi, I'm Gary. I am an English person who moved to Brazil in August 2021. I hold a TEFL qualification (CELTA) acquired in England. I have a lot of experience in teaching. I am relaxed, with an informal style. I am happy to go with conversation or with a more structured approach. Until I left England I was working as a specialist nurse in Palliative Care. Although I do have a particular interest in nursing / medicine, I am comfortable with any style of English. I have excellent communication skills and a great sense of humour. As a professional I am able to talk with people from all backgrounds. I look forward to meeting you.
I have over 30 years experience as a nurse, so I have a particular expertise with medical / health related English. I have a wide range of interests and try to stay up to date with current affairs. I like to incorporate real language into my work. I am sociable and approachable. I am professional and take my responsibilities very seriously. I have a working knowledge of Portuguese (Brazil).
